SPREP Publishes E-waste Guide for Journalists
20 February 2012: The Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP) has announced the publication of a guide to help Pacific reporters produce news items on electronic and electrical waste (e-waste) issues. The guide highlights the legal, social, economic, health and environment implications of e-waste, and suggests activities to enable the news room to explore story ideas on the issue.
The guide was produced in partnership with the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
SPREP members include: American Samoa, Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, French Polynesia, Guam, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, New Caledonia, Niue, Northern Mariana Islands, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, and Wallis and Futuna.
